Techno icon Luke Slater has announced a slew of professional audio services which will make full use of his enviable studio, the aptly named SpaceStation Ø. Alongside esteemed sound engineer Sie Medway Smith, who has notable associations with Depeche Mode and Bjork, Slater is offering standard services such as mixing and mastering, as well as some extras that are sure to tempt fans of classic gear.

Sound and Sample Replacement will allow customers to send in their own MIDI files and have them ran through the studio’s ‘array of monster synths’, as well as using Slater’s vast collection of vintage samplers to impart their particular flavours to audio files.
The highlight of the service list for us is definitely the Remote Playroom, where customers will be given access to the studio through Zoom, and get the chance to (virtually) play the synths of their dreams.

Slater has been a mainstay in underground electronic music since the late 80s, with his releases on the Peacefrog imprint achieving almost cult status among the more headier inclined. His multifaceted, sprawling output has seen him don a range of monikers, including LB Dub Corp and The 7th Plain. Perhaps his most famous, Planetary Assault Systems, has been behind a string of club classics over the years, and Slater has recently announced a return of the project, which will see him release an EP on Belgium’s Token Records.
Its great to see such a stalwart of electronic music offer his knowledge and technical knowhow up to the world. Check out more at the following links:
