Swedish synth developer Elektron is one of the industry’s most revered. The company has released a string of modern-day classics, including the Octatrack and the Analog RYTM, and is lauded for its bold and unique approach to instrument and interface design.
This year, Elektron is celebrating its 25th anniversary, and to commemorate the occasion the company has released three special edition versions of its most popular modern units.
The e25 series includes the Digitakt, Digitone and Syntakt, each decked out in striking stainless steel casing. The style is a callback to Elektron’s earliest instruments, before the company debuted the solid black designs it became so well known for.
Limited to 1998 units, the year Elektron was founded, each device comes fitted with handmade steel casing and a serial number. In addition, each will come with a cassette tape filled with unreleased music made by the talented Elektron team.
The e25 series is available now on the Elektron website. They come in a little pricier than the standard versions, €1,049 for the Digitakt and Digitone and €1,199 for the Syntakt, but that’s not bad if you’re looking to grab a piece of Elektron history.
